Is a lamp brought to be placed under a basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand?

Lord Jesus, may we shine for You,
And not be tucked away.
May we be bright lights for You,
To help keep Satan at bay.

Lord Jesus, show us how to shine
In this world gone dark and cold.
Help us to brighten others’ lives,
With love that’s pure as gold.

Lord Jesus, may our loved ones too
Be guided by Your light.
May they see the truth You bring,
And for You then shine bright.

All truth is found in You dear Lord,
And so too all real peace.
Let all be guided by Your light,
that all division cease.

In Your light, LORD, there is unity.
As Your body, we unite.
Dear Jesus, help our loved ones see
Your love which shines so bright.

And may they take that love they see
Embrace Your love in every way.
May they then always shine for You,
For all their life-long days.
