Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest for a while.

Mark 6:31

 Jesus, may we rest in You,
And resting in Your love,
May we find a quiet place,
A place not yet dreamed of.

It’s hard to hear You, Jesus,
When around us is such clatter.
Lead us to a deserted place,
That we learn from You what matters.

Help us find a place dear LORD
Where the truth we clearly see.
Help us find a place dear LORD,
Where the truth sets us free.

And so too lead our loved ones, LORD,
To a desert place of rest,
A place where silence speaks Your Word—
relieves anxiety and stress.

Lead each loved one to You, LORD,
Let the desert be their choice.
In the silence of the desert,
May they know and hear Your voice.

Lead them to the desert, LORD.
Make the desert their quest.
May they find truth in the desert, LORD.
Meet You there, and there find rest.
