WE SURRENDER ALL TO YOU, LORD

“What profit is there for one to gain the whole world yet lose or forfeit himself?”  (Luke 9:25)

Lord, for us to follow You,
Our self we must deny,
Pick up our own crosses,
Joyfully lift them high.

You suffered greatly Jesus,
Rejected by the priests.
You were crucified to death.
The Greatest became least.

Help us embrace our crosses,
When we suffer rejection,
May we die to self as You did,
And one day know resurrection.

And may our loved ones suffer,
Not alone but joined to You,
May they embrace the sacrifice,
As You call them to do.

There is no profit to be found,
In this world’s deceitful gain.
One can lose one’s self in this world—
Which leads to agony and pain.

But surrendering to You Lord,
Surrendering those we love
Leads to eternal glory,
Final victory above.
