“Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.”  (John 6:27)

Let us work for food that never ends,
Work for food which endures.
The Son of Man gives us this food,
With heart loving and pure.

To do the work of God,
Is to believe in His Son sent—
That we find freedom in His Word,
And freedom from dissent.

Let us receive the food He gives.
Receive His food with grateful hearts,
May we submit to His holy Word,
No more from His Word depart.

May those we love receive Him too,
With love and with great awe.
May they submit to His holy Word,
May they by His Word be drawn.

That God’s light might shine on the earth,
And shine in men’s hearts too,
Through His food and through His Word,
May all find in Him life anew.
