The Word of God is living.
No two-edged sword as sharp.
It penetrates the bones.
Discerns thoughts of the heart.

You, O Lord, see everything.
To You all is revealed
For to Your eyes all is exposed,
From You, nothing concealed.

Jesus, You are our great high priest,
In You we find our rest.
We are weak but You sympathize.
Sinless, You underwent the test.

With confidence we now approach
The throne of Your grace.
We so need Your help and mercy.
To run well this holy race.

Help us and our loved ones, Lord.
Heal our hearts of stone.
Come to us living Word of God,
Enliven our dry bones.

Fill us with priestly wisdom,
Fill us with Your love.
Lead us to the joy of heaven,
With grace from up above.

One day may we and those we love,
reach our eternal glory.
Living Word come now to us.
Let Your Word guide our life’s story.
