HEAL THEM WITH YOUR TRUTH AND LOVE

Jesus came to a town.  The town was known as Nain.

His disciples and a large crowd, journeyed there, the same.

As He drew near the city gate, a dead man was carried through.

This man’s mother was a widow.  He was the only son she knew.

The widow had been crying, at the gate of the city,

But Jesus told her not to weep.  His heart was moved with pity.

He stepped forward, touched the coffin.  At this the bearers stopped.

Jesus told the son Arise! All must have been in shock.

For the dead son had sat up.  And he began to speak.

God Himself had visited. Now things no more seemed bleak.

Through Judea to surrounding regions, reports of this would spread.

This once dead son was now alive.  Jesus raised him from the dead.

Lord, our loved ones may be breathing.  In body they’re alive.

But their souls have been attacked.  Their souls no longer thrive.

Go to them now, dear Jesus.  Bring dead spirits back to life.

Heal them of every error, in this world immersed in strife.

Go to them now Lord Jesus.  Go now without delay.

Heal them with Your truth and love.  To truth, point out the way.

Open up their hearts, dear Lord, that they may clearly see,

The way to healing of their souls is through new life in Thee.

SEND YOUR HOLY SPIRIT, FATHER

“…The Advocate, the Holy Spirit Whom the Father will send in my name—He will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.”  [John 14:26]

Father in heaven, we beg You, send to each one now
The Holy Spirit’s peace and all of His power.
Send Him with His wisdom, send Him with His love,
Send Him now to all of us, with grace from above.

He will teach us everything, remind us what we were told,
In the Scriptures by our Lord, in days gone by of old.
Father we ask You now, in the name of Christ, Your Son,
Send us Your Holy Spirit, that heaven’s race we may run.

Send the Holy Spirit, Father, to those whom we love too.
Send to them true wisdom, that Your will they may do.
We ask this now, dear Father; it’s Your will we adore.
We turn to You, our Father, In the name of Christ, our loving Lord.

We need You Holy Spirit.  Guide us on our way.
Our loved ones need You too, that they no more may stray.
With fervent hearts we’re pleading Father. You are the only One,
Who can send the Holy Spirit, That Your will on earth be done.

A NEST OF LOVE FOR YOU

“…Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.”  (Luke 9:58)

Lord, make my heart a nest of love,

A nest of love for You.

That You may come and dwell therein,

Today and each day through.

Make my heart a nest for love.

A love where truth will shine.

Make of my heart a nest for You.

For You, may my heart pine.

Lord, make my heart a nest for You.

A place where You find rest.

Make my heart like unto thine.

Take my heart as Your nest.

Chaos in this world today.

Yet, you make my soul still.

Come and rest in my heart, Lord,

As I rest in Your will.

Grant me grace to love You, Lord.

May my love for You now shine,

As light for what is good and true.

Make my human heart divine.

I give You now all that I have.

Make my love ever true.

May my heart be Your dwelling place.

May my heart be a nest for You.

TAKE US UP TO YOUR CLASSROOM

“Who teaches the soul if not God?”

(St. John of the Cross)

Who will be our good teacher?

Who best knows what we ought do?

Who teaches our souls truths divine?

Who will teach us if that be not You?

Take us up to Your classroom,

The steep and the steady climb.

Teach us the lessons we need to learn.

Pour divine truths into our minds.

Fill us with deep understanding.

Fill us with Your wisdom too.

Show us how to think clearly.

Show us what we ought do.

Come sit by our side dear Jesus,

Help us hear all that You say,

Grant us the grace to understand,

That we follow along your way.

Dear Jesus, just as You teach us,

Teach each of our loved ones today.

Give them lessons in living.

That no more may they go astray.

Make us good students, Lord Jesus.

With grace to learn all Your lessons.

Lord, You are our good Teacher.

Let Your class in our lives be in session.

St. John of the Cross, pray for us!

ST. AUGUSTINE, DO PRAY!

Saint Augustine, you who lived a wretched sinner’s life.

You turned back to the Lord, away from sin and strife.

Pray we not push God away, or place Him on some shelf.

You said if we are filled with love, we are filled with God Himself.

Let us now fill ourselves with God; thus, fill ourselves with love.

That grace may flow into our souls, from heaven up above.

When we are feeling quite unloved; and start making a fuss.

May we know God loves each of us, as if there were but one of us.

Saint Augustine, in your mercy, pray for loved ones lost.

As Christ, Himself, for us all has hung upon a cross.

No matter what lost souls have done, no matter where they’ve been,

Pray we may love the sinner, while we hate the sin.

May we be granted patience, with the good Lord as our guide,

To listen to their story, to hear the other side.

Saint Augustine, pray loved ones, will now truly see,

Our hearts will be so restless, until they rest in Thee.

Saint Augustine, we beg of thee, on this grace-filled day,

Pray for all our dear loved ones. St. Augustine do pray.
