The cause of so much sorrow, our worries, grief and strife,
Is our ignoring Christ our King. We thrust Him from our life.
Your rules, our King and Savior, are the way for strife to cease,
Your loving ruling over us, the only path to peace.
Jesus You are King of all. Of all You have dominion.
This is a well-known truth—not someone’s opinion.
We praise You! You are the King of all earthly Kings!
We praise You, the royal King of all created things!
Your Kingdom is not of this world. We can’t enter it pretending,
That this Kingdom might be bought or sold; conquered by wars impending.
A Kingdom of true gentleness, for righteousness we hunger.
This Kingdom awakens us from our deep worldly slumber.
Beneath the surface of Your Kingdom, the evil spirits work,
Opposing Your Kingdom, they prowl the earth and lurk.
They seek destruction of what’s good since the world’s foundation.
They seek to lure souls astray, and to final damnation.
Christ our King, come reign in hearts, that broken hearts may mend.
You lead us toward Your Kingdom; a Kingdom without end.
May we receive Your truth. May we love You above all.
Lest we are tripped by worldly lies. Lest we stumble, lest we fall.
Christ, be King of our minds. to Your truths we assent.
We surrender our lives to You. Of sin we now repent.
May Your kindness and Your mercy draw us to pure things above.
Grant us wisdom that we find the holy path to love.
Christ, be King of our wills. Your laws may we obey.
May we submit our wills to all You came to teach and say.
May we seek to serve You Lord—not just for now but for forever.
By Your grace may we be spurred to good and pure endeavors.
Christ, be the King of our bodies, with purity our goal.
May Your Kingship of our bodies serve to sanctify our souls.
You are food for our spirits, dear Christ our LORD and King.
May Your food nourish souls, and our salvation bring.
We have loved ones, Christ our King, who have lost their way.
They have stumbled and have fallen, and have gone astray.
We ask You, our royal King, with Kingship over all,
Bring them back to You dear King. Lift them from their fall.
Help them to fight with courage under Your banner royal.
In Your truth may they abide. And to Your will be loyal.
Bring them back to liberty, to discipline and peace.
Bring them back to love You, that division may now cease.
Bring them back to Your heart so filled with perfect love.
Bring them back O Mighty King, with grace from up above.
