“Jesus said to His disciples:  ‘Now I am going to the one who sent me… because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts.  But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go.  For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you.  But if I go, I will send Him to you.  And when He comes He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation…” (John 16: 5-10)

Come now Holy Spirit,
Convict each woman and each man.
Convict the world of what is true
From before time began.

Reveal to us exalted truths,
The truth of sin on us bestow.
Convict us of righteousness,
That true goodness we may know!

Come to us, Holy Spirit!
Teach us truths of condemnation.
An enemy is lurking—
Luring souls to damnation.

Holy Spirit, come now to us.
Make haste, do not delay.
Come to us Holy Spirit.
Convict us all of truth today!
