Out of darkness is born light,
This we know is true,
For the night where all is dark,
Gives birth to light anew.

And within our lives, dear Lord,
After each soul’s dark night,
Shines a glory gift from Thee,
With new hope in sight.

Bring our loved ones to Thee, Lord.
In this, their darkened night,
Lead them from this darkness, Lord.
Lead them toward Your light.

Set them free from darkness, Lord.
Help them the truth to see.
May they in this light of truth
Give their lives to Thee.
