[Long live Christ the King]

 

Our cross can seem too heavy

Just too heavy some will say,

Yet it’s a cross that we can carry

When we cry Viva Christo Rey.

 

Long live Christ our King,

Who never will us fail.

Though the enemy surrounds us,

And by him we’re assailed.

 

Long live Christ our King!

He will stay by our side.

Though the struggle’s growing greater,

Our King will be our Guide.

 

When the burdens grow too heavy,

With Blessed Pro we pray,

The words he spoke as shots rang out:

Viva Christo Rey!

 

Bullets can’t destroy us.

Though suffering they bring.

Our royal King will see as through.

Long live Christ the King!
