Welcome! I am happy to have you here visiting this blog as we continue to unite in Praying our Loved Ones Home to the Church.
My hope in this blog is to post new prayers in union with the liturgical seasons of the Church—calling upon God’s graces for ourselves, for those we love and for all of His lost sheep. Our LORD truly wants to bring back the lost. Our call is to intercede for them in prayer. “Pray without ceasing” St. Paul exhorts us. (1 Thes. 5:17) I invite you to join me in this effort of unceasing prayer, as we spiritually assist those we love, and those who have lost their way, in their return to the church.
As we pray, you are invited to unite your prayers for your loved one(s) to the prayers of others who are praying as well for their loved ones. Saint John Vianney said,
Private prayer is like straw scattered here and there: if you set it on fire it makes a lot of little flames. But gather these straws into a bundle and light them, and you get a mighty fire, rising like a column into the sky.
If we gather our prayers together, we can form a mighty intercessory army before the throne of God. We can unite our prayers simply by praying, “I unite these prayers for [loved one’s name] with the prayers being prayed for other loved ones. “
May our merciful Lord grant to each soul all the grace needed to return to Him, to the Sacraments and to the Church.
Amen
