“I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what His master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from My Father.” (John 15:15)
Jesus, You call us Your friends.
For You told us everything
That You heard from Your Father,
To our minds the truth You bring.
Bring us freedom, Jesus,
From slavery and sin.
Freedom to follow all You taught,
That heaven we may win.
May we receive in friendship,
The truth which only You can give.
That we may know the Father,
And how we ought to live.
And may our loved ones, Jesus,
Follow the Father’s will.
May they listen to Your Word.
With hearts quiet and still.
Free them to walk in friendship,
With You, Who loves them so.
Free them to walk in Your love.
May Your love they come to know.
