(Based on John 3:16-18)

God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son.

That we might run the race for Him, that eternal life be won.

He wanted none to perish, that none might be condemned,
Through His Son He willed to save the world, that saved might be all men.

He willed eternal life for us, who in His Son believe.
Let us strive to see His love so great, let us strive to conceive

This Son Who came to set us free, that to sins we be not slaves.
He lived for us and died for us that our souls might be saved.

And so, we thank you, Father, for the gift of Your Son.
We thank you loving Father, that this race we might run,
in accord with Your will for us.  Let Your will in us be done.
And we pray this now for loved ones who have strayed and lost their way.
We pray do send Your divine grace and call them back today,
May all believe in Your Son, that He might bring all back to You.
Dear Father, send Your Holy Spirit.  Let all souls now be renewed.
